Students and Parents,

Welcome to our sixth grade on-line learning. Please note that all students should have a Gmail account for their Think CERCA paper. Please do not open that document at home or until further notice. Students should email me at the SPV email address above. Once I receive your email address then our lines of communication will be that clearer.

Each afternoon between one o’clock and three o’clock I will post the next day’s work. Students are expected to complete the assignments.

Thank you in advance for all your help during this trying time.

Ms. McKenna

Dear Students (5th and 6th Graders),

The first assignment is for you to send me an email at kmckenna@saintpiusv.org. I need your school g-mail email so that we can have a smoother form of communication and a place to submit your assignments. I will be sending this message to parents so that they understand how this will be working for the next 2 weeks.

Please note that I need both a parent and student email so that I can create the contact list.

Thanks for your cooperation during this trying time!

Ms. K. McKenna

As a reminder, you should be posting EVERY DAY to the google doc I provided in an earlier post above with your summary of your Wonderopolis article. I have so far, 0 entries! I haven’t gotten any emails of troubles accessing it so I’m assuming everyone can. If that is not the case, please let me know.

For Thursday and Friday please continue reading or listening to the Youtube audiobook of Maniac Magee Ch 6-11 and answering the reading questions and doing the vocab worksheets. I would like all answers and worksheets for Ch 1-11 completed by this Friday at 11:59 pm. You will turn these in by email me pictures of the worksheets and or typing your answers into the email. Email them from your google email and send them to aadolf@saintpiusv.org

Update (3/19): No quiz on 1-5. Just keep reading and doing your worksheets for 6-11 and make sure to email me all your answers for 1-11. I will most likely give you some sort of short quiz early next week.

Good Morning My Students (5th and 6th);

I hope you are safe and healthy! Please note that this week’s assignments have been posted to the Google Classroom. Please be sure to login with your Gmail account. Also, many new assignments are uploaded to Khan Academy. Remember that when creating your account using your Google email that you use your real name and not a nickname. If I cannot recognize your name then I just delete the account from the classroom. All information on completed classes is lost.

Thank you for your diligence in completing the assignments given to you. I appreciate your efforts and they will not go unrewarded.

Please do not forget to log on to the Saint Pius V Facebook page and post your pics for BONUS POINTS!

Stay Safe and Healthy,

Ms. K. McKenna
