Illinois Tax Credit Scholarships

The applications for the “Invest in Kids” Illinois Tax Credit Scholarship will open soon! We will send information home with your child when the application period is approaching (usually in January).

ACT Aspire – Understanding Your ACT Aspire Results

The following document outlines in detail how to read your child’s ACT Aspire results.  The document is also available in Spanish.  It gives an overview of what the numbers and indicators represent so that you can more accurately interpret your child’s results.

Test Prep Resources has a series of online practice tests for Reading/Language Arts and Math.

Scholastic has a variety of articles that discuss how to help students mentally and emotionally prepare for standardized tests.  They provide tips for reducing anxiety and test-taking strategies.

Math Online Resources
Khan Academy has a variety of lessons with video tutorials about math concepts. Students have an opportunity to practice these concepts with instant feedback.

ck12 is a website that has a variety of math concepts that students can practice.  There are also adaptive practice activities that can be used to check for understanding.
IXL has limited free trials you can use to practice specific math concepts.
