Our Volunteers Make our School Great!
SPV is always glad to welcome new families and new volunteers to our school. Below are a few ways you can get involved and help us make a world of difference!
- Assist with school recruitment
- Volunteer as a recess or lunch monitor
- Chaperone school field trips
- Volunteer at school events
- Volunteer at fundraising events
- Coach school sports and clubs
(ie. soccer, track, chess, technology)
- Donate your special talent (ie. web design, data entry, translation)
- Volunteer for moving and clean-up days
- Other ideas? We are open to suggestions!
Any volunteers working directly with students will be required to complete a background check and Virtus training before entering the classroom.

If your child receives free or reduced school lunches, your family may be eligible for Comcast's Internet Essentials program. This program offers home internet service for just $9.95 a month! This is an excellent opportunity to provide internet access for your child for a very low cost. If you do not have a computer, Comcast is offering low-cost computers for just $149.99! Target Red Card: Take Charge of Education!
When you use your Target Red Card, you not only get 5% off your purchase, you can also donate 2% of your purchase to St. Pius V School! All you have to do is visit the Target Red Card Site and enroll in the Take Charge of Education program. If you do not already have a Target Red Card, you can visit their site and find out more about all it has to offer.
Recycling Program: Funding Factory
Do you have old printer cartridges, camera batteries or cellular phones lying around? If you bring them in to SPV, we can recycle them through Fuding Factory! Your donated items are recycled and sold, then a portion of the proceeds comes back to SPV. It is an easy way to clear out your old electronics and help our school at the same time. Please visit the Funding Factory website for a full list of items that can be donated.
